Weight Plates

Here at Fitness Equipment Ireland we offer a massive selection of weight plates. From our bumper plates, right the wat down to our very popular bodypump sets.

There are several different types of weight plates that are commonly used with adjustable dumbbells and barbells, including:

Cast Iron Plates: Cast iron plates are the most common type of weight plates. They are made of solid cast iron, which makes them extremely durable and able to withstand heavy use over time. Cast iron plates are available in a variety of weights and sizes, and they are typically inexpensive.

Rubber-Coated Plates: Rubber-coated plates are similar to cast iron plates but they are coated in rubber. The rubber coating can protect the plates from scratches, dings, or rust, and also protect the floor or other surfaces if the plates are dropped. They are also less noise than cast iron plates and can provide a better grip for the users.

Bumper Plates: Bumper plates are a type of weight plate that is designed for Olympic weightlifting. They are made of rubber or urethane and are designed to be dropped without damaging the plates or the floor. We offer two variations of the bumper plate: black bumper plates and coloured bumper plates. They are usually thicker than standard weight plates and have a standard size of 450mm diameter and a hole of 50.4mm.

Tri-Grip Plates: Our Tri grip plates are perfectly suited for all barbell exercises, be it benching, squatting, overhead pressing, curls, etc. They fit all 2” bars and are very durable. They can also be used for core exercises etc. with the tri-grip acting as handles. We stock tri-grip plates in both rubber and iron

Fractional Plates: Fractional plates are even smaller than change plates, they are usually available in increments of 0.25 kg, 0.5 kg, or 1 kg. They are used to fine-tune even more the weight of the barbell or dumbbells.

Bundle Deals

Weight plate bundles are a great way to save money and stock your gym with a variety of weights. Here at Fitness Equipment Ireland, we stock a wide range of weight bundles from 50kg sets all the way up to 150kg bundles.

One of the main advantages of buying a bundle deal is the cost savings. These deals often include a discounted price for buying multiple items together, rather than purchasing each item separately. This can be a great way to save money, especially if you are just starting to build your home gym or are looking to upgrade your existing equipment.

Another advantage of bundle deals is the convenience of having all the weights you need in one package. Rather than having to purchase weights separately, a bundle deal will give you a variety of weights to work with, allowing you to progress in your training and target different muscle groups.

There are several types of bundle deals available, and each one is designed to meet different needs and preferences. Some bundle deals include only a set of weights and a barbell or dumbbell set, while others include additional equipment such as a stand or rack.
