It helps to stop cheating by swinging and using momentum to move weight as well as taking pressure off of your knees and hips. Therefore, helping to concentrate the move on your back only.
Due to the minimal nature of this equipment, it is suitable for users of all shapes and sizes and the Neutral Grip allows for a longer range of motion and increased time under tension for the lats, which is great for building muscle.
A great exercise to do at the beginning of your back workout so as to really concentrate on the contraction and stretch of your back muscles in a really focused way, rather than doing this exercise at the end of a workout when your muscles have fatigued and may not have as much energy left for a concentrated controlled pull.
Also recommended for most efficient use to increase range of motion of the pull by allowing a slight protraction of the scapula at the bottom of every rep. This will really get your back muscles fired up.
The Wide Grip will put more emphasis on the lats, while a neutral grip will better target the middle back (rhomboids, teres, and traps).
