Why Kayaking is a Underrated Workout

For most people kayaking is something to do on vacation during the summer, but few people know that it can actually be an incredibly effective workout and help your mental health. Kayaking works out almost every major muscle group including the abs, biceps, triceps, deltoids, lats, quads, hamstrings, glutes and calves. It also is a great cardio workout and low impact making it great for any level of fitness user. It is also easy to get started, all you need is the kayak, life jacket, a paddle and a river or lake. It also helps greatly with your mental health as you are out in nature which is proven to boost serotonin. Not to mention kayaking can be a great way to go out on adventures with friends or meet people out on the water or there are lots of groups you can join that do regular excursions. Because of how low impact and all of the muscles kayaking workout it is a great form of exercise for older adults and people who are just starting their fitness journey or recovering from an injury.
